The Pokémon market just witnessed a 100% jump in less than a week, and it all comes down to the now-iconic Burgerchu packs. On August 12, 2025, McDonald’s Japan launched the M-P Promotional Booster Packs through Happy Meals for just ¥500 (~$3.50). As of today (September 17, 2025), those same sealed packs are selling for nearly $80 each on the secondary market.

Every booster contains a guaranteed Pikachu 020/M-P promo — (aka Burgerchu) — plus one random card like Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Riolu, or Ralts. The frenzy was immediate. McDonald’s Japan sold out in under 24 hours, with scalpers buying Happy Meals in bulk and leaving untouched food scattered on the streets just to chase the cards.

Here’s how the market shook out in under a week:
Sealed packs: ~$70–$80 (up from ~$35–$40 just days ago)
Raw Burgerchu singles: $55–$75
PSA 10 Burgerchu: $200–$300+
Beckett Black Label Burgerchu: one even sold for $21,100
The star here isn’t just Burgerchu itself — it’s the sealed packs that exploded even more in value practically overnight. What was a fun Happy Meal extra is now one of the most
sought-after Pokémon promos of the year.
If you managed to grab a pack at $35-40, you’re sitting on a 2× return in under a week. And if you didn’t, well… you’ll probably never look at a McDonald’s Happy Meal the same way again.
